GM Harmonic Balancer GM 3.8L, 231
Harmonic Balancer ist eine Front-End-Zubehörantriebskomponente, die mit der Kurbelwelle eines Motors verbunden ist. Die übliche Konstruktion besteht aus einem inneren Hub und einer äußeren Ringbindung im Gummi.
Ziel ist es, Motorvibrationen zu reduzieren und dient als Riemenscheibe für Antriebsriemen.
Harmonischer Balancer wird unter anderem auch als harmonischer Dämpfer, Vibrationsscheibe, Kurbelwellenscheibe, Kurbelwellendämpfer und Kurbelwellenbalancer bezeichnet.
